Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII
I am new to posting on this blog but am so pleased to be a part of it. I "discovered" it in April, when I was doing a search for Henry VIII because I had just finished my Anne Boleyn cardigan and was about to begin knitting the Henry pull-over. I wanted to see how other knitter's sweaters had turned out. I had the yarn for a long time in my stash, but was a little intimidated by the idea of knitting a fair isle sweater, as I had never done one. It was so much fun, as soon as I finished the cardigan, I got started on the Henry pullover. I would love to do every sweater in Tudor Roses as they are all so lovely.
Now, I just need to get started on poor Henry's sleeves but it has been a little warm to have this big wad of wool on my lap!

Glad you found us, Carolyn! Your Ann Boleyn sweater is really beautiful.
Carolyn, gorgeous!! I love your color choice for Anne Boleyn. Greens and oranges are beautifully put together. Your Henry VIII is also done differently from the book?
re. yjr comment on my Henry sweater... I had most of the Alice Starmore yarn, but not all, so it does look a little different than the one in Tudor Roses.
It looks a lot different than the new version posted on the Virtual Yarns website and I think that I like those colors much better. Maybe I will eventually knit two of them!
I love both of your sweaters. They are coming out so nice. You must be proud!
